Professional internship placements abroad

Our Internship programs combine a 4 week English course with a professional internship placement in an area of your interest. Full-time internship placements are available in Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland and Ireland. Part-time internship placements are offered at our English schools in the United States. We are able to offer a wide range of professional internship placements to enable you to gain work experience in an English speaking workplace and to help you add an international dimension to your CV.

Full time internship

The full-time professional placement includes a minimum 4 week Intensive English course, followed by a non-paid internship within a local company. During your English program, you will focus on the specialised business vocabulary associated with your job. A highly skilled adviser will help you to prepare and succeed at your interview. Once you have finished your Intensive English course, you will start your full-time professional placement. The full-time internship program is available through the following English schools:

Part-time internship in the USA

The part-time program includes a minimum 4 week Intensive English course followed by 8 weeks (or more) during which students organise their days between their English course and a non-paid internship placement. During the first part of the program, our highly skilled advisers will help you prepare for the job interviews. During the second part of the program, you will combine your English courses with a professional internship placement within a local company.

Admission conditions

Before the internship: you must have an intermediate level of English or more with a fluency in spoken English. We can estimate the number of weeks that you need in order to reach this level. To apply for a professional placement, you must pass a free English test and send us your CV and cover letter. You also have to complete an application form, available on request from your Kaplan International Colleges representative.

The placements are available for the students over 18 years old. Please note that our internships are non-paid and are under the visa legislation of the destination country.
