Stage 1 Entry Requirements:

More teaching support and smaller classes than universities enables students to focus on their own learning skills and personal development before starting Year 2 at university

Course structure and content:
We aim to meet the needs of international students who want to study business and management in an international context. We provide a carefully designed balance of specialist input together with English support and study skills classes.
Stage 1: 2 terms of 8 weeks - focus is on increasing IELTS level up to 6.0, and developing university study skills, and quantitative analysis methods
Stage 2: 2 terms of 15 weeks – specialist subjects in management and business. Teaching and study methods change to a university style and pace.

Financial Accounting: Introduction to double-entry book-keeping, compilation of balance sheets and explanation of accounting principles
Business Information Systems 1: The role of data, information and knowledge in business operations
Introduction to Business and Management: The structure of business, the business environment, managing people, production, international business content and quality management
Introduction to Marketing Principals Analyse marketing situations and apply marketing theory
TERM 4 (MAY-AUG)
Organisational Behaviour Analysis: An overview of issues relevant to individuals and groups in an organisational context
Management Accounting and Financial Management: The techniques for business decision-making and processes of financial and managerial control
Introduction to Economics: Micro and macro economics, the economy and the tools of economic analysis
Either: Business Information Systems 2: The concepts and practice of modelling and designing business systems
