Can I take a Kaplan Aspect language course without accommodation if I choose to stay with friends or family?

Yes, of course this is possible. You will, however, need to supply us with the address where you will be staying and a contact number and address where you can be reached.

Can I live together with a friend in a host family?

You can request to stay together with a friend in the same host family, if your friend is studying at Kaplan Aspect too. This request should be made at the time of booking.

Can my friend who is not studying at Kaplan Aspect stay with me in the residence?

No. We can only arrange the accommodation for students who are studying with Kaplan Aspect.

Will I get my own room?

You can choose to book either a single room or a twin room in our host families or residence/apartments. If you book a twin room in a host family you will be placed with another student of the same sex and of similar age, each with a single bed. We will always try and have you share the room/host family with students of other nationalities and different languages so that you can practise English. We cannot, however, guarantee a nationality mix in our residence/apartments.

Will my homestay be near my school?

Most host families do not live close to the Kaplan Aspect School. Depending on which city you choose you will spend some time on public transport (tube, bus or train) in order to get to school. For example in Edinburgh you may travel to school within a maximum of 30 minutes but in Los Angeles, Dublin and London it may take up to an hour to get to school. In some locations, we have homestays close to school for which you pay a supplement. This option, however, is not guaranteed.

Can I stay in Kaplan Aspect accommodation after I finish my course?

We can arrange an extra night if we have availability in our homestay or residence/apartments at the beginning of your stay or at the end. However, our accommodations are usually full and we can't normally provide extended accommodation for students that aren't currently studying with us at late notice.

Can I change homestay if I don’t get along with my host family?

We work with our hosts all year round and we will try and match you up with the homestay best suited to you before your arrival. However, if you are unhappy at your homestay after arrival, we will look for another family for you if you have a valid reason. Please contact your accommodation coordinator at your school for housing issues.

Is accommodation included?

Accommodation is not included in the tuition fees. An accommodation placement fee may also be charged. We will let you know if this is the case when confirming your booking.
