San Diego enjoys beautiful weather year round with an average daily temperature of 21.4C. A marked feature of the climate is the wide variation in temperature within short distances. You can enjoy coastal, mountain and desert environments all in the space of one day. San Diego does not have an actual winter - however the colder period lasts from late November till March with an average daily temperature ranging between a low of 10C to a high of 20C. Although the ocean temperature is cold during the months of November through to May, in summer the water temperature gets warm and is perfect for swimming and other water activities.
